Governor’s flag order for the state Capitol building in Richmond

This is to order that the flags of the United States of America and the Commonwealth of Virginia are to be flown at half-staff over the state Capitol building in respect and memory of United States Army Staff Sergeant Sheldon L. Tate. I hereby order that the flags shall be lowered at sunrise on Saturday, July 24, 2010, and remain at half-staff until sunset.

Ordered on this the 23rd day of July, 2010.

Governor’s flag authorization for the County of Hanover

Be it further encouraged that the flags of the United States of America and the Commonwealth of Virginia may be flown at half-staff on all local, state, and federal buildings and grounds in the County of Hanover in respect and memory of United States Army Staff Sergeant Sheldon L. Tate. I hereby authorize that the flags may be lowered at sunrise on Saturday, July 24, 2010 and remain at half-staff until sunset.
